Why did God specifically choose the Arabs for the message of Islam?

Allah chooses whom He wills for a wisdom, and He chose the Arabs to carry the message of Islam, knowing the qualities they possessed that qualified them for it, as Allah Almighty says: "And your Lord creates what He wills and chooses," and "Allah is most knowing of where He places His message." Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah mentioned that the virtue of the Arabs lies in their minds, tongues, morals, and deeds. They are more understanding, possess better memory, and are more eloquent in expression, and their language is the most complete of languages in clarity. Furthermore, their morals are closer to goodness than others, such as generosity, forbearance, and courage. When Islam came, it refined this inherent nature and combined for them perfection through the power created within them and the guidance revealed. Despite this honor, it entails a greater responsibility for the Arabs.
