Is there in this era doctrinal hypocrisy along with the Muslims' backwardness and weakness?

Apostasy in belief (al-nifaq al-i'tiqadi) is the major hypocrisy (al-nifaq al-akbar) that expels one from the fold of Islam, and it is widespread in this era. Hypocrisy usually appears when Islam is strong, as those who plot against it are unable to confront it, so they falsely feign faith. However, the current weakness of Muslims has led hypocrites to boldly declare their heresy and enmity towards Islam without deterrence. Therefore, Muslims must return to their religion, hold fast to the rope of their Lord, and unite their ranks to confront the disbelievers and hypocrites.
