Is it permissible for a menstruating woman to enter the mosque to await the prayer or to await her guardian if he fears harm to her?

It is impermissible for a menstruating woman to stay in the mosque, whether awaiting those who pray or for other reasons, unless she fears harm to herself if she does not remain there. If she can stay at the mosque's entrance without harm, then it is not permissible for her to remain inside. Some scholars have permitted her stay in the mosque out of necessity, such as fearing harm, citing as evidence that the delegation of 'Abd al-Qays dismounted and stayed in the mosque. As for a menstruating woman whose bleeding has not ceased, her ablution is not valid, and consequently, it is not permissible for her to stay in the mosque with ablution.
