What is the ruling on money acquired from unlawful work after repentance, and what is the ruling on disposing of it? Is it permissible to borrow from it? And will one be rewarded for charities given from it?

Establishing disco halls, selling alcohol, and working in them are forbidden, and the money obtained from them is illicit and unlawful, because when Allah forbids something, He also forbids its price. Whoever has engaged in this must offer sincere repentance and dispose of the illicit money by spending it on the poor, the needy, and other charitable causes. It is permissible to take what is sufficient for one's needs or to use it as capital for a lawful business. Money that is illicit due to its acquisition is only unlawful for the one who earned it, but it is permissible for someone who takes it from them through a lawful means. Partnering with someone who has some unlawful money is valid, and the profit generated is lawful. Among the ways to dispose of unlawful money is to give it to a poor and needy person or to place it in a fund from which the needy can borrow, without the money returning to its owner. What your brother has given to the poor is commendable, and he will be rewarded for the lawful money in his expenses and for disposing of the unlawful money.
