Is it permissible to perform ablution (wudu') for prayer while showering, provided that the order and continuity are observed?

A ghusl (ritual bath) does not suffice for wudu (ablution) unless it is an obligatory ghusl performed with the intention of removing both major and minor ritual impurity. Otherwise, wudu must be performed either before or after it. If a Muslim performs wudu before ghusl and their wudu is not invalidated, or if they perform wudu after ghusl with its correct pillars, then that suffices. A recommended or permissible ghusl does not purify from minor ritual impurity unless a Muslim performs it as Allah has legislated in His saying: "O you who have believed, when you rise to [perform] prayer, wash your faces and your forearms to the elbows and wipe over your heads and wash your feet to the ankles."
