If the endowment is managed by a trustworthy person who disburses it for a specific purpose, then that practice is maintained. As for the other interrupted endowment, it is disbursed to the endower's heirs by lineage. If that is not possible, it is disbursed to the poor and needy. The Permanent Committee has favored that the disbursement of the other interrupted endowment generally goes to charitable causes.
