What would you do and what would you say to your father who prevents you from studying because he fears deviancy for you, even though you are excellent and do not want to deviate?

If the study is permissible and does not harm the father, then obedience to him in abandoning it is not obligatory. It is advisable to be gentle and patient with the father, try to convince him of the importance of studying, seek help from wise people to persuade him, and above all, seek Allah's help and supplicate for Him to facilitate what is good and rectify the matter.
