What is the ruling on a wife refusing to procreate due to diabetes, which may harm her health, despite her husband's desire for procreation, and her refusal to respond to his invitation to the bed based on that?

It is not permissible for a wife to refuse her husband if he calls her to bed. However, if she is harmed by pregnancy and childbirth in an unusual way, the husband must take this into consideration and seek treatment for her or use permissible contraceptives until her condition improves, bearing in mind that coitus interruptus and regulating sexual encounters are the safest methods. If the husband desires children and there is no hope for the wife's recovery, Allah has permitted him to marry again.
