Is it permissible to listen to the Holy Quran while sleeping, especially during times of war?
Listening to the Qur’an is a good and desirable act, and there is no harm in sleeping while listening to it. Sheikh Abdullah bin Manea was asked about the ruling on sleeping to the sound of the Qur'an, and he replied that he saw no objection to it. The command to listen is directed at the conscious listener, as Allah Almighty says: "And when the Qur'an is recited, listen to it and pay attention that you may receive mercy."
