Did the Prophet (peace be upon him) sometimes tie a stone to his stomach due to hunger?

It is authentically reported that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, tied a stone to his stomach due to severe hunger, as narrated by Imam Ahmad from Jabir. This indicates the hardship and poverty that the Messenger and his companions endured, and their patience in the face of it, seeking Allah's pleasure and conveying His religion.
