Al-Suyuti mentioned in "Al-Itqan" that the Qur’an has halves based on different considerations. Its half by words is at the letter "dal" of the word {وَالْجُلُودُ} (and the skins) in Surat Al-Hajj. He added that its half by letters is at the letter "nun" of the word {نُكْرًا} (a great evil) in Surat Al-Kahf, and its half by verses is at {يَأْفِكُونَ} (they invent falsehood) in Surat Ash-Shu'ara, and its half by number of surahs is at the end of Surat Al-Hadid.
