Why didn't Allah protect innocent children from rape and murder?

Our minds are too short and too weak to comprehend the secrets of Allah Almighty in His creation and His wisdom in His decrees. We must believe that He is All-Wise, All-Knowing, who puts things in their proper places, and that in everything, He has profound wisdom. He is not to be questioned about what He does, due to the perfection of His wisdom and justice. Scholars have addressed the issue of children's suffering, and the first thing a Muslim should adhere to in this regard is complete submission to Allah Almighty, being certain of his inability to grasp Allah's secrets and wisdom.
