Is it permissible to divide the expiation for sexual intercourse over several months, even if that overlaps with or occurs after Ramadan, in the event of financial inability, knowing that there are three expiations? And is it obligatory to feed sixty needy people on the same day as the fasting?

"Whoever is obligated to offer an expiation for intercourse or ẓihār must free a slave. If he is unable, then he must fast for two consecutive months. If he is unable, then he must feed sixty needy persons. One does not move to feeding unless unable to free a slave and fast. Scholars have differed on whether the expiation is waived if one is unable to feed, or if it remains a debt. The Hanbalis and, according to the less prominent view among the Shafi'is, hold that it is waived. This is also the chosen view of Sheikh Ibn 'Uthaymeen, who based it on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) statement to the Bedouin: 'Take it, seek Allah's forgiveness, and feed your family.' However, the prevalent fatwa with us is that it is not waived due to inability, but rather remains a debt."
