How can one deal with a father who disrespects his son and uses unacceptable language and preconceived judgments, even though the son adheres to the rulings of Islam concerning him? And what are the noble verses that could command the father to show respect?

There is no specific verse commanding a father to respect his child, but there are many verses commanding respect for people in general, including:

- "and speak to people good words."

- "So by mercy from Allah, [O Muhammad], you were lenient with them. And if you had been rude [in speech] and harsh in heart, they would have disbanded from about you. So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult them in the matter."

- "Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best."

- "And do not argue with the People of the Scripture except in the best manner."

- "And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]."
