What are the conditions of the prostration of recitation (sujud al-tilawah) regarding purity and facing the qibla?

Some scholars view the prostration of gratitude ( al-shukr) as a prayer, and thus stipulate ritual purity (tahara), facing the , uttering the takbir, and saying the for it. Others, however, consider it an act of worship and not a prayer, thus not stipulating these conditions. This latter opinion is moreWEIGHTY due to the lack of evidence for stipulating purity or facing the qibla. Nevertheless, it is preferable to perform them to avoid scholarly disagreement.
