Do the verses "And Allah has made for you the earth a carpet" and "Have We not made the earth a resting place?" and "And the earth, We have spread it out" indicate that the Earth is flat, and does this contradict modern science and Tafsir al-Jalalayn?

The scholars are in agreement that the Earth is spherical, but it appears flat to observers due to its immense size; its sphericity is only apparent over long distances. The Almighty's saying, "And Allah has made for you the earth a carpet," and "Have We not made the earth a resting place?", and "And the earth We have spread out," indicates its flatness and its ease of use. There is no contradiction between the Earth's sphericity and its flatness, for the small parts of a large sphere appear as a flat surface, which resolves the issue.
