Can Majmoo’ Al-Fatawa be read independently in the absence of shaykhs, and what should be read before it, and is it completely valid at the present time?

The fatwas of Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah are not all of the same level of ease and difficulty. They are suitable for those who have completed the first level of advancement in the ladder of knowledge, and it is advisable to seek the help of scholars to identify the appropriate texts for reading.

These fatwas are valid for all times and places, as they are based on the Quran, Sunnah, and the understanding of the Salaf, and scholars continue to benefit from them to this day.

As for the existence of errors in them, no one is free from error except the prophets. These errors are few compared to what is correct, and most of them are printing or copying errors, or jurisprudential opinions (ijtihadat) in which some have disagreed with him. His books contain valuable sciences, investigations, and benefits.
