Working in usurious banks is forbidden, and the father must abandon it and repent, due to the general sinfulness of dealing with usury. Eating from the father's money is permissible when there is a need for it or when there is no other source. Shaving the beard is forbidden, but it is permissible when there is fear for oneself or one's family from death, imprisonment, displacement, or unbearable harm, such as dismissal from work or severe restriction of essential livelihoods.
