What is the Sharīʿah ruling on dealing with a husband who believes he is bewitched, knowing that he does not pray, and how can magic be undone without resorting to charlatans, and does magic truly have an effect on marital life?

The interference of the husband's family in ruining the marital relationship using magic (sihr) is forbidden and considered one of the major sins. As for the husband who does not pray, we advise counseling him and reminding him that abandoning prayer entirely is considered disbelief (kufr) according to the most authoritative opinion. If he insists on abandoning it, then it is better to seek divorce, because marriage to someone who does not pray is not valid. Ruqyah Shar'iyah (Islamic exorcism/incantation) is permissible for nullifying magic. However, resorting to sorcerers is forbidden, because healing has not been placed in unlawful acts. The effect of magic and jinn occurs only by the permission of Allah.
