Does a person commit apostasy when they describe their regret by saying, "I messed up" (literally: "I brought the Eid") and laugh about it?

The sister's expression of regret, "I messed up" (literally, "I brought the Eid"), is not disbelief (kufr) or apostasy (riddah). However, the phrase "O Abu Jahl: come kill me" is a frivolous statement that should not be repeated. One must be cautious and reserved in speech, for the tongue is dangerous. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "And are people thrown into the Hellfire on their faces or on their nostrils except for the harvest of their tongues?" He also said: "Indeed, a servant may utter a word that displeases Allah, not attaching any importance to it, and fall into Hellfire thereby." It is important to pay attention to what comes out of one's mouth, for "not a word is uttered but there is a watcher by him ready [to record it]" (Quran 50:18). It is also advised to be wary of obsessive whispers (waswasa).
