After memorizing the Qur’an, is it better to be content with memorizing the Two Sahihs, or to focus on memorizing the Six Books? And is this the correct way to think?

The two Sahihs (Bukhari and Muslim) have immense merit, but they do not encompass all authentic hadiths. It is recommended to start with concise books such as "Al-Umdah," "Bulugh al-Maram," and "Riyadh as-Salihin," then proceed to the major works, beginning with "the two Sahihs," and subsequently adding the extra narrations from other Sunan books and whatever else is available from other works.

One should frequently ask Allah Almighty to grant assistance, patience, and perseverance to become one of those who preserve the texts of the Sharia and serve as a reference and guide for the Ummah. Previous advice can be found in fatwas numbered: 31265, 32186, 98228, 41436, 88360, 70551.
