Ovarian tissue cryopreservation involves taking tissue from a woman's ovary and storing it in liquid nitrogen for later re-implantation, to restore its ability to produce active ova as if they were produced at the age when the biopsy was taken. Although this technique aims to enable conception at a later age, it carries risks of sample mix-ups and exchanges, which could lead to lineage confusion. For this reason, freezing and preserving any part of the ovary is prohibited. It is advised to hasten marriage and seek treatment to enhance fertility, while informing the suitor of the situation, as he has a right to progeny.
