Do the number of verses in the Qur’an differ in the mushafs circulated in the Islamic world?

Differences have arisen regarding the number of verses in the Quran, but the Muslim nation is in agreement that what is present in the Mushaf, which consists of one hundred and fourteen surahs, is the Quran that Allah revealed to Muhammad (peace be upon him). Ibn al-Arabi believes that counting the verses is one of the intractable issues of the Quran. This difference does not discredit the Quran; rather, it stems from the scholars' disagreement in counting some verses, which might sometimes be counted as a single verse and at other times as more, while they all agree that everything is Quran, with no addition or subtraction from it.
