There is no objection to quoting permissible clips, materials, images, information, and fatwas from websites and attributing them to their owners. Websites were created for people to benefit from them, and this includes reading, quoting, and republishing. However, it is not permissible for a person to attribute these things to himself, because benefiting from them is a legitimate benefit that Muslims have practiced since authorship became known.
