The common relationships between young men and women in the name of love are not sanctioned by Islamic law. If a man and a woman develop affection for each other, marriage is the solution. If marriage is not feasible for them, they must disengage from this attachment, and each should strive for chastity by marrying someone else, occupying their time with what benefits them. Postponing studies for marriage, or a young man leaving his studies for marriage, to respect the parents' wishes, is permissible. Prioritizing one over the other is up to you, considering the benefits and harms. It is advisable to balance the two matters, consult with wise people, and prioritize what safeguards one's faith.
