What are the factors that help one persevere in repentance, and can a person be recompensed in his future wife for his past actions with girls, and what should he do to obtain a righteous wife, and are there recommended acts of righteousness to increase in order to gain acceptance of repentance and forgiveness?

You have done well by abandoning forbidden acts. We advise you to make sincere repentance (tawbah (definition) nasuhah) by forsaking the sin, regretting it, and resolving not to return to it. You must sincerely turn to Allah, supplicate frequently for steadfastness, keep company with the righteous, and be firm in dealing with non-mahram (definition) women, for they are a trial. One who repents from a sin is not punished, and it is not a condition that one who trifled with people's honor be punished in kind. Be keen to choose a righteous wife, inquire about her from trustworthy people, and then seek Allah's guidance (istikharah). A righteous husband is a role model for his wife, and he should be keen to provide knowledge and remembrance of Allah in his home.
