Is it permissible for the guardian to allocate a monthly sum from the minors' money for their sustenance, or should their mother spend on them from her share of the inheritance? And is it obligatory for the guardian to invest the minors' money or to keep it? And is it permissible to deposit it in an Islamic bank in an investment deposit in hard currency?

It is better for the guardians of orphans to invest and develop their wealth through legitimate means than to leave it idle, as Allah Almighty says: "Say: 'Improvement for them is best.'" (2:220) Trading with money is better than leaving it, and the verse supports a weak hadith with this meaning. Investing orphans' money in Islamic companies and banks is the most correct approach. Their expenses should be covered from their own funds if they are wealthy. If the banks where the orphans' money is deposited are usurious, it must be withdrawn immediately.
