Is this phrase permissible: "The Messenger of Allah is our Master"?

There is no harm in using the phrase, "The Prophet is more worthy of the believers than their own selves," because its meaning is that the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, is the guardian (wali) of every Muslim, due to the Almighty's saying: "Your guardian (wali) is none but Allah and [therefore] His Messenger and those who have believed." The term 'mawla' (guardian/master) applies to many meanings, such as lord, owner, and helper. And whoever takes charge of a matter or undertakes it is its mawla and wali. There has been disagreement regarding the sources of these names, but they all revolve around loyalty to Islam. It has been reported in the hadith that Umar said to Ali: "You have become the mawla of every believer," meaning the guardian (wali) of every believer.
