Is someone who accepts destiny in order to live happily rewarded for it?

Patience with Allah's decree, endured to attain happiness, will be rewarded for the Muslim, as long as it is not mixed with despair or discontent. This is based on Allah's saying: "Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account," and the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "There is no Muslim who is pricked by a thorn or more than that, except that Allah records for him a degree and erases a sin from him thereby." The effect of calamities on people varies according to their faith. There are three levels of people regarding predestination: contentment (رضا), which is the highest for those close to Allah; patience (صبر), which is the middle for the moderate; and discontent (سخط), which is the lowest for the wrongdoers. Whoever is content will receive contentment, and whoever is discontent will receive discontent. A person's share from a calamity is what it produces in him of patience, contentment, or discontent.
