Is marrying an orphan considered as sponsoring and caring for her?

Marrying an orphan girl with the intention of providing for her and protecting her from Haram (unlawful acts) brings reward, because a Muslim is rewarded for his intention in permissible acts, and virtues multiply with numerous good intentions. However, this reward does not reach the merit of absolute orphan sponsorship, regarding which the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "I and the sponsor of an orphan will be in Paradise like this."
