Is he sinful who attends a wedding where there is drumming, singing, and dancing, and sits far away from the gathering of singing, especially if he is from the groom's family or the family and cannot avoid going and helping with permissible matters such as cooking?

It is not permissible to attend wedding parties that include forbidden acts such as intermingling (between sexes) and unlawful musical instruments, except for one who is able to denounce these forbidden acts and is reasonably certain of their removal. However, if going to participate in cooking or similar activities does not result in hearing or condoning the forbidden acts, or if the place is far from the forbidden acts, then there is no harm in that. It is advisable to counsel them and explain the ruling on these forbidden acts. Whoever sits in a gathering of disobedience and does not denounce them becomes a participant with them in sin.
