Does raising one's voice at children or hitting them to discipline them affect the validity of the fast?

Fasting is only invalidated by its known nullifiers, such as eating, drinking, and sexual intercourse. Raising one's voice at children or disciplining them with a beating does not nullify the fast. However, the fundamental principle in raising children is gentleness. One should not resort to beating them or raising one's voice at them unless absolutely necessary.
