What is the required duration of dryness for purification from menstruation? Is it a condition to wait a full day after the cessation of bleeding to ensure purification, or is a period of ten hours or more sufficient for that?

If a woman's purity is confirmed by dryness, and she performs ghusl (definition) and prays, or if she sees the white discharge and performs ghusl and prays, then her prayer is valid. If her usual sign of purity is the white discharge, but she experiences dryness instead, she should wait for the white discharge until the end of the preferred time for prayer. If she does not see it, she should pray; this is the relied-upon view among the Malikis. Some scholars have allowed waiting a day or a day and a half to ensure the cessation of blood. A woman must be cautious of waswasa (obsessive whispering), excessive meticulousness, and extremism in ghusl, for "the extremists are doomed." The best treatment for waswasa is to ignore it and not pay attention to it.
