Is it true that becoming weary of supplicating means the answer is near and that Satan tries to distract one from supplicating to miss the opportunity?

One of the greatest pitfalls for the supplicant is hastening the fulfillment of their request, and the resulting boredom and despair. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) warned against this in his saying: "Your supplications will be answered as long as you are not in a hurry, saying: 'I supplicated but I was not answered.'" And his saying: "A servant will continue to be answered as long as he does not supplicate for a sin or cutting off ties of kinship, and as long as he does not hasten." It was said: "O Messenger of Allah, what is hastening?" He said: "He says: 'I have supplicated, and I have supplicated, but I do not see that I am being answered,' so he despairs at that point and abandons supplication." Ibn al-Qayyim said: "This is like one who sows a seed or plants a sapling, then becomes impatient with its maturity and abandons it." And there is nothing mentioned that indicates what you mentioned are signs of an imminent answer.
