How can a father afflicted with AIDS be advised to repent to God without hurting or angering him, out of concern for his well-being and seeking God's pleasure?

Indeed, Allah Almighty has taught children how to address their parents, advising them to be gentle, kind, and to show mercy, even if the father is a disbeliever, as in the story of Abraham with his father. One should seek help through prayer before speaking to him. The verses from Surah Maryam (41-48) and their interpretation can be read, and booklets and tapes can be offered if he accepts them. Scholars and callers to Islam known for their wisdom and influence can also be sent to visit him. By taking these means, Allah will open his heart and guide him to repentance, for Allah is more merciful to him than his own child.
