Do the children have the right to claim the inheritance of their mother, who passed away in 1982 CE, and which their father used for marriage and construction, and how is this inheritance to be distributed if they have a right to it?

"The woman's children have the right to claim their share of their mother's inheritance. They should ask their father with respect and reverence. He still has the right to their dutifulness, even if he has taken their right. If the children waive their right for their father, it is better, as Allah Almighty says: 'And do not forget graciousness between you.' If they insist on claiming it, they have that right Islamically. The inheritance is to be distributed if there are no heirs other than those mentioned. The husband gets one-fourth due to the existence of a lineal descendant. The remainder is divided among the sons and daughters, with the male receiving the share of two females."
