The answer

If the acquired money reaches the [nisab](https://islamic-relief.org/whats-nisab/) on its own, or when combined with the remaining money after purchasing the house, then zakat becomes obligatory upon the completion of its [hawl](https://islamic-relief.org/whats-hawl/). If the acquired money is a result of original capital (such as trade profits), then its zakat is due along with the principal. However, if it comes from another source (like a salary or inheritance), it can be added to the first amount and its zakat paid along with it upon its hawl, or a new hawl can be started for it.
