A person's morals and religiosity are unconsciously affected by their surrounding environment, including people and places. Islamic law has warned against residing among polytheists, but in cases of necessity, one must achieve the maximum possible benefits and avert harms. A Muslim must be diligent in their work, even if it is with non-Muslims, and be keen on preserving their religion and morals, acting as a good example. They should also minimize socializing with non-Muslims outside the scope of work or study.
