How did Yusuf (Joseph), peace be upon him, balance between benefit and harm?

Joseph (peace be upon him) sought authority as a balance between benefit and harm, for he knew that no one could take his place in justice and reform, and he considered this a personal obligation, as Al-Qurtubi stated. Ibn Al-Arabi said: He sought it with preservation and knowledge, so that he could deliver rights to the poor, not for his own personal gain.
