What is the appropriate treatment for an unmarried person who watches pornography and wishes to get rid of this bad habit?

It is obligatory for a Muslim to lower his gaze from that which is forbidden to look at, to repent to Allah, to regret what has passed, and to resolve not to return to it.

Among the most important remedies are: supplication and asking Allah for chastity, and hastening to marry, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "O young people, whoever among you can afford to marry, let him marry, for it is more effective in lowering the gaze and guarding the private parts. And whoever cannot afford to marry, let him fast, for it will be a shield for him."

It is also important to occupy oneself with what benefits in religious and worldly matters, to associate with righteous youth, to attend congregational prayers, to seek beneficial knowledge, and to listen to useful Islamic tapes.
