Do the thoughts that crossed my mind in my childhood, in which I imagined that I was receiving revelation, and then my uttering the Two Testimonies (Shahadatayn) after ghusl (ritual bath) from janabah (state of ritual impurity requiring ghusl) without the intention of entering Islam, constitute apostasy that invalidates good deeds and marriage, and must I re-utter the Two Testimonies with the intention of entering Islam?

Congratulations on your steadfastness and your love for Allah and His Messenger. We emphasize that previous intrusive thoughts and whisperings have no effect and no accountability, and their cure is to ignore them. These intrusive thoughts do not lead to apostasy and do not invalidate marriage or work. When experiencing them, it is advised to seek refuge with Allah and occupy oneself with acts of obedience.

As for the general jurisprudential ruling, whoever does not know that they have left Islam remains upon their Islam and is not required to utter the two testimonies to enter it. If apostasy occurs, the marriage is dissolved. To enter Islam, it is a condition to pronounce the two testimonies with intention, and ghusl (ritual bath) is recommended but not obligatory.
