A vision does not establish a legal ruling. Allah has angels of mercy and angels of punishment. The angels of mercy and the angels of punishment disputed over a man who had killed one hundred souls and then repented. A king in the form of a human arbitrated between them, instructing them to measure the distances between lands. They found him closer to the land of repentance, so the angels of mercy took possession of him. Gabriel and Michael are not among the angels designated for mercy and punishment after the death of a servant. Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, is a human, not an angel.
