What should a Muslim do if faced with a problem and unable to consult scholars? Should he make an effort based on his limited knowledge, logic, and general principles such as the default state of things being permissibility and ease?

"Allah does not burden a soul beyond its capacity." So, if an urgent matter arises that cannot be delayed, and a Muslim is unable to consult scholars, they must strive to determine what is correct and exert their utmost effort. However, if they are ignorant of the ruling on an issue and are able to consult scholars but are too lazy to do so, then it is not permissible for them to act based on their mere personal opinion.
