Is a mother sinful for naming her daughter "Mayada" if she knows that the name is derived from vanity and swaying, and must she change the name after the daughter has reached one year of age?

It has not been reported that vanity is one of the meanings of the name "Mayada." Rather, its meanings include swaying, agitation, movement, and strutting. Therefore, there is no objection to naming with it. Nevertheless, it is advisable to change the name to something better, because names may affect those who are named, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, changed the names of elderly people.
