What is the Multazim? And how does one supplicate there?

The Multazam is the area between the Black Stone and the Kaaba's door. It involves the supplicant placing their chest, face, forearms, and palms upon it, and supplicating with whatever they wish. There is no specific supplication, and it can be done upon entering the Kaaba, before the Farewell Tawaf, or at any time. One should not prolong the supplication or jostle people. What has been narrated from the Companions regarding the Multazam is more authentic than what has been narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Sheikh Al-Albani authenticated two hadiths indicating this, and Ibn Abbas said that the Multazam is between the Corner (Rukn) and the Door. Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said: "Whoever wishes to come to the Multazam, let him do so, and he may supplicate with the reported supplication from Ibn Abbas." Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen said: "The practice of Iltizam was not authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, but the Companions did it upon arrival. The jurists said it should be done upon departure. There is no harm in Iltizam as long as it does not involve harming or inconveniencing others."
