What should the parties do if the divorced woman becomes pregnant by the second husband after marrying him in order to return to her first husband, and how can she return to the first husband while pregnant, and to whom is the newborn attributed?

A woman divorced three times is not lawful for her first husband until she marries another man with the intention of permanence, and the second husband consummates the marriage with her, then divorces her, and her waiting period (iddah) from him ends. If she becomes pregnant by him, her waiting period is until she gives birth. As for a woman divorced once or twice, her divorcing husband can take her back during her waiting period, or marry her with a new contract and dowry. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed "the one who makes lawful (for the first husband) and the one for whom it is made lawful."
