What is the ruling regarding a wife returning to her husband who divorced her and married another woman, then divorced the second, and now wishes to take her back as a second wife alongside his current wife, who has stipulated divorce if the first wife returns?

If the waiting period (iddah) has not ended, and the divorce is revocable, then the husband must take his divorced wife back into his marital bond without a new contract, and he must provide her with independent housing. However, if the waiting period has ended, then the matter rests with the woman to accept a new contract, with the advice not to refuse him if he is a man of good character and religious commitment. The woman has the right to demand her rights from the husband, such as maintenance and other entitlements, which are a debt upon him. It is incumbent to repent from illicit relationships before marriage.
