Is it permissible to seek intercession through the blessing of Umm Al-Mu'minin Umm Salama, may Allah be pleased with her?

Supplicating Allah and seeking intercession with Him is an act of worship based on divine command (Tawqif). The texts indicate the permissibility of seeking intercession through Allah's names and attributes, through righteous deeds, and through the supplication of a living righteous person. However, seeking intercession through the blessing of individuals or their status and rank has no evidence to support it. Rather, it is an innovation (bid'ah) and a means to shirk (polytheism), whether the one interceded with is a prophet, a companion, or anyone else. This is based on Allah's saying: {And to Allah belong the best names, so invoke Him by them} (Surah Al-A'raf, 180), and the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever introduces into this matter of ours that which is not part of it, will have it rejected." Thus, legitimate intercession is through Allah's names and attributes, His oneness (Tawhid), and through righteous deeds.
