The Law permits the suitor to look at the prospective bride and to repeat looking at her out of necessity. It is permissible for him, at first, to speak with her as needed, then each of them should depart until the marriage is concluded. As for the repeated meetings of the suitor with his prospective bride, and sitting and speaking with her, this is not the practice of people of piety and chastity, because the prospective bride is a stranger to the suitor, and it is not the custom of religious people to sit with strange women unless there is a recognized benefit or necessity, and there is no necessity here.
