What is the wisdom behind the Prophet Jesus' (peace be upon him) ability to resurrect the dead, even though Allah Almighty said: "And it is forbidden for a town which We have destroyed that they should return"?

The bringing back to life of the dead by Jesus (peace be upon him) was a miracle to prove his prophethood. He was also given other miracles, such as creating birds from clay and healing the blind from birth and the leper, all of which were by God's permission. Our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was granted many miracles, the greatest of which is the Holy Quran, with which he challenged mankind and jinn. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There was no prophet among the prophets but was given what was similar to that upon which humanity believed, and what I was given was a revelation (Wahy) which Allah revealed to me. So I hope that I will have the most followers on the Day of Resurrection."
